When we create a Ramble map, our goal is to show the beauty of the landscape as best we can. We want you to see the hills, valleys, rivers, and transitions between ecosystems. Each map shows something unique. Each area has something surprising, even to those who know it well.

About This Map

This map is a 2-dimensional print that is ready to hang right out of the box on a backing that will float it off the wall, giving it a nice shadow like in our pictures.

The Pacific Crest Trail stretches over 2,650 miles from the Mexican to Canadian border, following the Sierra Nevada and the Cascade mountain ranges. It traverses every type of terrain the West has to offer, from snowy mountain passes to sandy deserts.

Each year, hikers are able to see from the ground how the environment changes throughout the trail. This map shows that environment in a snapshot from above. It is a shaded relief elevation map that follows the PCT from Mexico to Canada. This format makes it clear how spectacular this hike really is.

We hope it will be a treasured reminder of peoples' experiences on the trail, and an aspirational motivator for those looking forward to it!
